anyuls is best known for its sweet wine known by the same name. It is a "vin doux naturel". The region's red wine is called "Collioure" and is also of extremely high quality. Worth mentioning is the nearby " Côtes de Roussillon" wine region, which produces everything from table wines to exquisite vintage wines.
You will find a number of Banyuls 17 wine cellars just around the corner from Hôtel le Manoir. Cave l'Etoile is one of the best recommended cellars in the area. Stop in and taste of few of their offerings! You can also take a short car ride to visit some of the hundreds of wineries in the vicinity of Banyuls.
Consider visiting Banyuls during the second weekend in October for the local wine harvest festival, "la fête des vendanges". The celebrations take place over two days and include singing, dancing, wine tasting and a barbeque on the beach.
